My first House Portrait was my grandmothers house.  Swipe over to see the painting. The watercolor painting was a gift to my mother in 1988.  The painting is titled, “Mama Yancey’s” after what her grandchildren called her. 

 

I have many wonderful memories of going to Mama Yancey’s, from storytelling on the front porch, playing hide-n-seek in side, shelling butterbeans on the back porch, climbing the pecan tree in the side yard and eating country cooked meals at the large table in her kitchen.
